At this time, Utterly Speech is considered an out-of-network provider and does not accept any insurance.
What is your attendance and cancellation policy?
Sessions must be canceled with 24 hours notice or a cancellation fee will occur.
Where will services be provided?
Services may be provided in home, preschool, day care setting or via teletherapy.
What ages do you work with?
Utterly Speech serves children from 18 months - 15 years old.
Can you work with my child if they get speech therapy services at school?
Yes. Private speech therapy is beneficial for a child who receives speech services in school to enhance their progress with their speech and language goals.
My child didn't qualify for EI/school-based services, can you still work with them?
Yes. Sometimes school or EI services have different standards that your child has to meet in order to receive services.
Will you collaborate with my child's other therapists?
Yes. Collaboration is key for your child's progress and success.
How often do we come to therapy?
Speech therapy occurs between 1-3 sessions per week for 30-45 minutes. A treatment plan will be discussed prior to starting therapy to go over our recommendations.
How does teletherapy work?
Teletherapy allows treatment provided through a secure audio or video connection. Patients can interact with their speech therapist the same way they do during in-person sessions, just from a distance.
What is play-based therapy?
Play-based therapy is a type of therapy where the speech therapist uses play, toys, and games to help the child explore, express, and interact in order to achieve their speech and language goals.
What does a caregiver/parent coaching session look like?
In this type of session, the parent and speech therapist collaborate and discuss how to best implement therapy techniques into everyday activities and routines. This builds parents' roles, empowering them to embed their use of learned supportive strategies in the home.
